What's not being addressed is the unchecked insurance hikes under Medicare. An 2.8% cola doesn't cover the over inflated costs. This year the medicare part B will eat 80% of the cola raise. Other non medical 8nsurances will wipe out what's left. Digging in last years and the year before that allocation will be taxes, food, medicine, and basic necessities. Borrowing from social security is the US Treasury using bonds to secure those loans. Using these amounts for years before the bill comes due.
